Urania Maritime - Safety Measures

Safety Measures

Health, safety, and environmental protection are top priorities for our management, reflecting our commitment to maintaining the highest operational and sustainability standards.

Urania Maritime Pte. Ltd. operates under strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures to ensure that all petroleum and crude oil products are safely stored, loaded, and unloaded. Our operations comply with the regulations and guidelines of federal health and safety agencies and are conducted under licensed authority supervision to maintain full legal and environmental integrity.

We are committed to minimizing environmental impact by actively reducing harmful emissions and preventing accidental spills. As a responsible energy company, we recognize our duty to protect the communities in which we operate. Urania Maritime Private Limited Company maintains a robust Environmental Management Policy that fully aligns with governmental and regulatory standards across all operations.

To further improve sustainability, we have implemented ongoing programs to reduce emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) — substances that can cause air pollution and pose health risks. Our strategy not only focuses on reducing emissions but also considers their broader social and environmental impact, with a goal of achieving at least a 90% reduction. We continuously strive to minimize our carbon footprint, with the long-term ambition of becoming a fully climate-neutral organization in the years ahead.

In our Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) Policy, we are fully committed to preventing all accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses while protecting the environment. To achieve this, Urania Maritime Pte. Ltd continually optimizes the operations of all its subsidiaries through technical innovation, organizational excellence, and behavior-based safety practices. We actively promote a proactive safety culture that prioritizes responsibility, awareness, and continuous improvement at every level of our organization.

The Corporate Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Department of Urania Maritime Pte. Ltd. establishes comprehensive guidelines and minimum requirements for all subsidiaries to ensure a unified and effective safety culture across our global operations. Performance targets are defined and regularly benchmarked to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

A key initiative within our HSSE framework is the development of detailed HSSE manuals tailored to each operational unit. These manuals serve as the foundation for local management systems, ensuring that every site operates in compliance with corporate safety standards and best practices.

To enhance learning and incident prevention, Urania Maritime Pte. Ltd. maintains a global incident database. This system records and analyzes all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and conditions to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. When necessary, HSSE alerts are issued and distributed to relevant sites for discussion and awareness among employees.

We conduct regular internal HSSE audits and analyze both leading (proactive) and lagging (retrospective) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess and strengthen compliance with internal standards. Continuous training and education form a central part of our safety culture — all new employees, contractors, and visitors receive HSSE orientation before commencing work or entering any operational area.

Through these efforts, Urania Maritime Pte. Ltd. ensures that all business activities are carried out safely, responsibly, and in harmony with the environment.
